Andy was destined to be a drummer from the off: his father, having spent three decades on the road as a drummer and dance band leader, eventually quit the music business, disillusioned, to pursue the life of an urban peasant, adamant that his son would not follow in his footsteps. Which of course meant that he would do just that. “I spent most of my childhood climbing into a dark loft to try and learn the drums in secret. It was like an oven in there and the exposed insulation stuck to the sweat and made me itch like a bad case of Chicken Pox. Great practice for those sweaty club gigs later though!”

He has most recently toured and recorded with LOCKS, Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind (#Jim Jones Revue, #Thee Hypnotics, #Black Moses), The Future Shape of Sound and is the current drummer for Allegra Shock and Hugh Blue Jones & The All Alones. Touring, dep and session work takes him throughout the UK and internationally.

Professional, adaptable and with an eclectic body of experience amassed from 20+ years as a working musician, he is always on the lookout for interesting opportunities to collaborate and grow.
